Alphabet Signs has responded to the demand for smaller, open-face letter boards by adding a convenient 12-inch by 8-inch mugshot letter board to its large selection of indoor signs. It's been more than eight years since this size has been available on the market, and the company expects to see sales soar as customers learn of its return.

In the past, smaller mugshot letter boards have served a variety of purposes in addition to being used by the police to identify suspects who are being booked at the station. Photographers often use them to separate groupings when doing school photo shoots or other events in which they wish to identify specific categories.

Daniel Keane, president of Alphabet Signs said, "It really is a niche size and wouldn't have the same utility as the larger size letter boards. But it's a prefect size for those special uses." Keane continued, "There use to be a very popular brand of small size letter boards named Insignia Signs and I don't know why its manufacturer discontinued them."

Concession stands, hot dog carts, and food vendors find it convenient to advertise limited menu display listings on these easy-to-change letter boards.

Conference facilities and hotels can use the boards to identify meeting rooms and multi-purpose areas. Schools, business complexes, reception areas and funeral homes will also enjoy the affordable convenience of these more compact letter signs. Their reduced size allows effective communication without being obtrusive or distracting.

While designed primarily for indoor use, the satin-anodized aluminum frame of the mugshot letter board is built to be sturdy and long-lasting. It is 5/8 inches thick and encased by a 3/4-inch wide face trim. The corners are carefully riveted and mitered together. Mounting hardware is included, but customers will need to add their own fasteners.

The majority of new mugshot letter boards offered by Alphabet Signs will be available with optional vinyl faces for easier maintenance and cleaning. Made of 1/2-inch fiberboard, the signs will have vinyl faces that are neatly pleated into evenly spaced, 1/4-inch grooves. The result is a clean, smooth plastic appearance that looks at home in any location. Simple soap and water cleanup make maintenance quick and easy. Alphabet Signs confidently offers the same 1-year manufacturer's guarantee for the mugshot letter board as the company does for its other listings.

Although this new indoor letter board is smaller in size, it still accepts the same standard plastic directory letters with molded tabs. Changing names, menus, titles and short messages can be done quickly and easily. Menu board letters and directory lettering is also available for purchase.

Alphabet Signs also knows what customers need and works diligently to provide those items for a reasonable and affordable price. Cost-saving discounts are offered for bulk orders. Online shopping at Alphabet Signs makes the entire process simple and convenient. Customers will find the new mugshot lettering boards listed in the Open Face Letter Board category of the website catalog directory.

After almost a decade, it's exciting to have a truly useful product back on the market. Alphabet Signs has made smaller, convenient mugshot letter board signs available once more.
