The retro style of their 2013 catalog reminds us of their commitment to time tested values. The display typestyles chosen in the sign catalog have a retro appearance and the cover is embossed. I like that the pages are larger and easier to read, especially for readers over fifty.
Gemini commissioned artist Rick Kollath to design 12 unique pieces of art using a gouache technique to commemorate how various sign letters have been used throughout history. Along with the artistic renderings at each category section are nice stories that tie signmakers of the past with the new technologies of today.
As always, Gemini continues to use new technologies to make improvements in their production processes and cost cutting savings. The catalog announces a dozen new products, techniques and price reductions.
The company recently changed the cast metal building letters. These letters are now made of cast aluminum alloy 514, which is more eco-friendly; it still offers all the same great features, like weather resistance, long lasting durability and strength. It is greener because it takes less energy to melt the material.
For customers interested in stainless steel alloy letters, some new finishes are now available, including Vibration and Perforation. These finishes offer different looks over the regular polished, painted or anodized finishes.
In addition to cast metal sign letters, Gemini Inc. also offers formed plastic letters, which are now available in a chrome finish. These letters are great for anyone in the automotive industry; they offer a clean professional look for local body shops, mechanics or even your home garage.
Already low prices on some formed and cast metal letters have dropped, too. Certain fonts, like Arial Bold, Helvetica and Standard Block Round, are now offered at even better rates but still have the lifetime guarantee. In addition to lower prices on some font styles, Gemini has dropped the prices on certain bronze and brass finishes.

One of the most common questions we get about mounting building letters is: how long are the studs? Stud lengths will vary depending on the size of letter. The taller the building sign letter then the longer the stud required. For example, a 6 inch letter will probably have a 2 inch stud; whereas, a 24 inch letter might use a 4 inch stud. Alphabet Signs can provide any stud length from 1 inch to 6 inches.

While surfing the web on Monday an article headline caught my eye that read Google is now Alphabet. I was confused. Was this a joke? Was this about me? I read further on the Google blog where Larry Page announced that Google has formed a new company named Alphabet which is an umbrella organization for all their properties. They liked the name Alphabet because it is a collection of letters that represent language and is core to how they index all the world's knowledge.

These brick-mounted red building letters are formed plastic letter style with a flange mount. There are many mounting options, and for stability and long lasting durability, we discourage the flange mounting method for building sign letters.
