The answer for business owners may be flags blowin in the wind

Business owners from coast to coast can struggle to find the right way to highlight the products and services they offer. It can often be difficult for them to know exactly how best to attract their target audience, with some owners trying unsuccessfully with short-lived TV or radio spots. It is next to impossible with these types of promotions to tell whether they are reaching the people you are trying to target.

One way that businesses will be able to gain an advantage on the competition is by creating a strategic sign strategy, putting the displays in highly visible places. The added exposure will more than likely allow people to notice a store for the first time, and get them to say to themselves: "Does that store have a new sign? I wonder what other sorts of exciting changes have been made in recent weeks. I'd better go and check it out."

But with all the different signs to choose from, it can be tough to know what types of signs are best. One sign that's sure to turn some head is flags, whether it be a set of pennant flags or open message flags. The added flags will bring a new level of excitement to the store, especially when the wind is gusting. Having signs in the form of flags are also important because they can display whichever message is most appropriate. A business can decide to go with a traditional message such as "Open," or "Sale," or perhaps put their slogan on it to make it feel more personal.

If a company is feeling more patriotic, then they can decide to go with the classic American flag. The commitment to honoring the stars and stripes could be enough to attract those who want to support businesses that make patriotism a priority. And while few have a problem with the flag, one company in Michigan recently ran into trouble, when it was told that its flag violated local sign rules. Belle Tire, based in Meridian, Michigan, was recently asked to take down its 96-square-foot flag after town lawmakers told them it violated an ordinance, Fox News reports.
