Outdoor Portable Marquee Signs

These portable marquee signs are no longer available with an optional trailer with wheels. In the past, portable sign rental companies used to deliver these signs on a trailer. These signs now come with an adjustable sign stand or other optional attachment methods.

These signs are named portable because they are not anchored to the ground or attached to a foundation. Portable marquee signs are prone to tip over in high winds. Many users attach ballast or concrete to the stands or attach the cabinet between two posts in the ground.

We do not offer a plastic vandal cover to prevent the sign letters from being stolen or removed. A plastic cover will not allow UV heat rays from dissipating and act like a convection oven and bake the letters. The vandal cover makes the letters turn yellow and warp. A vandal cover can also overheat the interior electrical parts. Some customers use chicken wire or fishing line across the rows to prevent the letters from blowing away.

We do not offer a lenses to cover the flashing bulbs because it causes the bulbs to heat up and burn out the flasher. You may find lenses available at a local hardware or auto parts store.

Some cabinets can be optionally internally illuminated with two high output fluorescent bulbs with rapid start ballasts. The bulbs are standard lengths so it's easy to find replacements from a local building supply center. The lighted sign comes with a Ground Fault Interrupt (GFI) receptor plug so you just need to run standard service and plug in. Signs with an optional arrow include a solid state flasher that blinks bar to tip. The flasher does not have different effects like a chaser. We do not offer any solar or LED lighting packages.

These signs are made to order and typically take three to four weeks to deliver. These are large signs that need to ship by a motor freight carrier, a regulated industry with set rates, that does not offer inside delivery. We shop for the least expensive motor freight rate or can arrange factory pick up.

The roadside portable sign is a little smaller so it is less expensive, fast turnaround and can be hand delivered by FedEx.

We only offer the sign in three sizes with different arrow options. The corrugated faces come in standard sizes so we are subject to their sizes restrictions and properties.

We can provide additional steel support to mount the sign cabinet between two signposts up to 6-inch depth. Instead of resting the marquee sign on legs, it would sit more securely between two poles. We do not provide the poles when you purchase your sign. A between pole mount has the steel attachment brackets welded in all four corners for you to attach to. We add a three-piece retainer so you can easily slide the face panels for internal access to bulbs or wiring. We do not supply external brackets for the poles because we do not know what kind of poles you will get and how you want to install them. You have to supply the poles with the appropriate hardware to connect to the cabinet.
