This 18W x 18H Community Message Center is great for university campuses, schools, park rangers, hospitals, hotels, apartment complexes and golf courses. The single door mini message centers offers a very small viewable display surface.

LEEDS standard H.D.P.E (High density polyethylene) is maintenance free material that will not rot, splinter or crack. The plastic material is non-porous so it will not absorb stains or water. This makes them able to resist salt, gas, oil, water and bird droppings. It is also termite and mold proof. The plastic is pigmented all the way through so the color does not fade in sunlight.
High Density Polyethylene is often specified by architects and government agencies due to its long lasting, maintenance free properties. The case is held together with fasteners and because the material is high density its screw retention is 30% greater than ordinary lumber. The screws are countersunk and covered with plugs so there are no visible screw heads. The finished back panel is 1/2 inch thick plastic lumber which looks great on posts and adds structural integrity to the cabinet.
Full length piano hinge
This one door unit is mounted with full-length piano hinge along its top. The door swings open from its top to allow you full access to change the display messages. There are no mechanical prop arms. There is a locking mechanism along the bottom to hold the door shut.
Shatter resistant acrylic window
The door includes solid disc tumbler lock to protect against vandalism while controlling access to posting surface. The locking mechanism is bolted in place. Our competitors use clips. Two keys are included. The door frame holds a durable, 1/8 inch shatter-resistant acrylic window so messages can be seen but not touched.
Protects against fading
A top-quality, vinyl laminate is applied to 7/16 inch fiberboard which forms the posting surface and backboard of the sign. The UV vinyl laminate protects against fading while creating a stylish posting surface. Our competitor's boards fade in direct sunlight which creates ghosted images from previous bulletins. The fiberboard is sealed with an aluminum moisture barrier and silicone sealant. The bulletin board is attached with screws and is easily replaceable if necessary.
Optional letter board
The directory board is made from 1/2 inch thick fiberboard with grooves cut on every 1/4 inch increment and covered with vinyl that is pleated into the grooves which slides into the case channel. The letter board holds the standard plastic directory letters with molded tabs. The fiberboard is sealed with an aluminum moisture barrier and silicone sealant.
Message center dimensions
The case dimensions are 18W x 18H and 5-1/2 inch exterior depth, 8 inch rain cover depth. The main case frame is 3/4 inch wide and the door frame is 1-1/2 inch. This reduces the visible area to 13.5W x 13.5H. The interior space between the door and the cork board is 3-3/4 inch.
