Etched metal plaques is a technique that adds greater precision and intricate detail than a cast metal plaque. Our chemical etching process allows us to reproduce even the most complex artwork onto the surface of the metal. We use a variety of methods to manufacture your etched metal plaque using brass, bronze, copper or stainless steel. The etched metal plaques ship in eight business days with a lifetime guarantee.
How are etched plaques made
A detailed shop drawing is submitted for your signed approval before production begins. Enter the text you require and we will set up a design and email you a proof. If you already have a design saved as an art file then enter its file name in the text box and email the art file to us.
A chemical resist is photographically applied to the surface of the metal. An abrasive chemical washed is then applied that eats away the metal surface that is not protected by the resist. The metal is then cleaned and prepped for finishing. The etched metal plaque is turned over and fitted for your selected mounting method. The etched plaque is set up on a rack where it is coated with a two-part hardened acrylic polyurethane clear coat, then sent to an oven for baking. Your etched plaque is then laid out for careful quality inspection then seal-tight packaged so your plaque arrives mistake-free.
We can etch any custom logo or graphic onto the bronze plaque. Email us your custom artwork and the size you need and we will provide a price quote. We are not set up to do logo or design work.

What type of material is used for etched plaques
Etched plaques are made from four optional materials: lead free Alloy C22000 bronze, Naval Brass Alloy C46400, Copper Alloy C11000 or Stainless Steel Alloy C304.
How are etched plaques mounted
Etched plaques are typically mounted with fasteners. We provide a variety of mounting options such as a concealed welded stud on the back of the etched plaque so you can glue it to a wall. We can also provide optional double face tape, or bolts.
