How are aluminum plaques made
A detailed shop drawing is submitted for your signed approval before production begins. Enter the text you require and we will set up a design and email you a proof. If you already have a design saved as an art file then enter its file name in the text box and email the art file to us.
Aluminum plaques use virgin ingots that are melted down in an all-electric, pollution free furnace. The melted aluminum is poured into a custom made mold, based on your approved artwork which has been designed and modified for excellent legibility. Once your aluminum plaque has been cast by skilled craftsmen and has cooled down, it is shot blasted, degated and belt sanded in preparation of finishing. The cast metal plaque is turned over, drilled and tapped at the appropriate stud diameter for its stud mounting hardware used during your installation. The plaque is set up on a rack where it is coated with a two-part hardened acrylic polyurethane clear coat, then sent to an oven for baking. Your plaque is then laid out for careful quality inspection then seal-tight packaged so your plaque arrives mistake-free.
We can cast any custom logo or graphic onto the aluminum plaque. Email us your custom artwork and the size you need and we will provide a price quote. We are not set up to do logo or design work.

What type of material is used for aluminum plaques
Aluminum plaques are made from Alloy 5052-H32 Number 356 aluminum. Smaller plaques are 1/4 inch thick and larger plaques are 5/16 inch thick.
What kind of finishes are on aluminum plaques
Aluminum plaques have raised letters on a textured background. The backgrounds are textured to make the plaque easier to read and reduces production loss due to imperfections. The backgrounds are painted with a baked enamel color. In the finishing process, the letter is bead-blasted to make it precise and smooth then stroke sanded to give it a natural satin finish.
How are aluminum plaques mounted
Aluminum plaques are typically mounted with fasteners. We provide a variety of mounting options such as a concealed stud on the back of the aluminum plaque so you can glue it to a wall. We can also provide optional metal bolts, toggle bolts or wood screws. Aluminum plaques can also be mounted on a 36 inch tall garden stake that is angled up so it can be easily viewed.
Lifetime guarantee
The aluminum plaque comes with a lifetime warranty against fading, cracking, pitting or chipping. Made in the USA.
