We manufacture the highest quality Stop Slow Paddles made to the FHA guidelines (Federal Highway Administration) for traffic control devices. The signs have a STOP sign on one side and a SLOW sign on its other side. The signs are ideal for Crossing Guards and Work Zone Flag Workers. These Stop Slow Paddles are professional sign grade aluminum, finished for long lasting performance and designed for easy detection, recognition, and legibility.
Long lasting and rust free
We use ASTM 3105 sign grade aluminum alloy that is long lasting and rust free even in harsh weather extremes. The heavy gauge sign grade aluminum is .040 inches thick. The aluminum is cleaned and degreased to ASTM B-499 specifications as pretreatment for sheeting applications. A chromic acid conversion coating is applied for weather resistance and the edges are smoothed to prevent injury.
The sign is non-reflective.
The stroke and spacing of the letter style for these 24 inch Stop Slow Paddles are also designed and field-tested for maximum readability and conform to the design requirements of the Federal Highway Administrations Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Reflective background
The Type I Engineer Grade Reflective is made from Nikkalite EG reflective sheeting. It exceeds ASTM D4956 Type 1 standards for retro reflectivity which is visible in daytime or nighttime from a wide range of angles. The reflective sheeting has 7 year durability.
Holes in sign for easy mounting
The sign comes with a six inch wooden handle that has been smoothed for easy gripping. The handle is attached to the sign with fasteners so you can easily switch out sign to longer posts (not provided). The holes are 1/4 inch wide and are centered in the middle of the sign along the bottom.
