HOW TO INSTALL VINYL LETTERING:
SO SIMPLE THEY'D THOUGHT A PRO DID IT!

Designing and purchasing high-quality decals and stickers for your business is just the initial step. Once they arrive, it is important to ensure that you apply them properly. By creating and applying your own stickers, you can enjoy significant cost savings with cheap vinyl lettering. Transferring the lettering to any smooth surface is actually easier than you might think.

    cleaning surface

    Clean the surface

The process begins by preparing the surface. It is essential to clean all application surfaces thoroughly using an alcohol-based cleaner. This step ensures that any harmful materials are removed from the surface. Furthermore, before starting the application process, it is important to ensure that the room temperature falls between 45° and 90° Fahrenheit. The target site for your lettering should not be excessively humid, as this can adversely affect the application.

    Tape Your Decal

Once your surface is properly prepared, you can proceed by applying a strip of masking tape on the top of your custom vinyl graphic. The pre-spaced vinyl lettering, which comes with pre-masked transfer tape, can be easily applied all at once. The transfer tape, also known as premask, ensures that the vinyl lettering stays in place during the application process.

    Remove Wax Liner

To begin the application process, flip over the decal and hold the bottom edge of the graphic away from the surface where you plan to apply it. Next, peel off the wax liner to expose the sticky vinyl backing. It's important to note that vinyl lettering is suitable for various smooth and non-porous surfaces. However, please be aware that the decal will not adhere to textured, perforated, or corrugated surfaces.

  • 04
    squeegee decal

    Squeegee the Decal

Utilize the provided squeegee to firmly press the stick-on vinyl letters onto the desired area, moving from top to bottom in a motion similar to that of a windshield wiper. It is important to take caution and ensure that no pockets of air are trapped under the decal during this process. This will help prevent the formation of unsightly bubbles.

    Remove the Transfer Tape

Once you remove the top layer of paper, you will see your letters in their designated position. These individual vinyl letters, equipped with adhesive backing, offer an excellent means to leave a lasting impression in your community. How to Name Your Boat

How does one name his or her boat? Choosing the right name for a boat sign leaves many nautical thrill seekers nervous that they won't be able to settle on the appropriate one. There are various opinions when it comes to the subject, but getting the name right can often be the difference between proudly navigating the waters and floating with a name that not only the owner but, the passengers as well are embarrassed about. Boat signs, while they may seem like a relatively unimportant aspect of seafaring, can add a whole new identity to voyages.

Where do I Get Vinyl Logos Made

Alphabet Signs can make letters, numbers and punctuation in several colors, fonts and sizes. We are not setup to handle logos or graphics, however. To get these made, you will need to try a local sign shop. Some common chains are Signs by Tomorrow, Signarama or FastSigns. Any of those companies should be able to help with larger graphics, too, as we are only set up to handle vinyl lettering up to 12 inches tall.
